XERO is the New Zealand cloud-based package developed for small and medium-sized businesses. It does invoicing, accounts payable, expense claims, payroll services and more, including automatically importing bank and credit card statements. It uses apps that allow the integration of external applications.

MYOB targets small to medium-sized businesses and is cloud-based as well as offering browser-based accounting products. It handles payroll services, day-to-day accounts or more complex business management, and uses bank feeds, mobile apps and inventory functions. And by the way, MYOB stands for Mind Your Own Business.

RECKON (Quickbooks) provides cloud-based and desktop accounting software for small to medium businesses, bookkeepers and accountants. It provides the usual online services, including payroll services, and works with third-party packages.
